ABOUT THE PROJECT
I was hired by ShoeFitts Marketing to create a responsive website for Blue Prairie Group, a retirement and investment consulting agency. A styleguide was provided with the logo. The goal was to refresh the existing site with new branding, improved user flow and better functionality.
Working with the project manager I evaluated the current structure of the site for ease-of-use issues and overall functionality. The main navigation was streamlined and promotional areas added to create a long scrolling home page along with callouts to highlight various features. This made the site overall more usable and easy to navigate.
My role was not only to evaluate the usability of the site, but to create design concepts and production artwork, supplying templates and finished artwork to the development team. This included support graphics for various devices as needed.
Overall the site has proven to be a big success. Being more aesthetically appealing, it's helped to elevate the brand and resulted in improved clickthrough rates with greater accessibility and functionality.
